Order statuses and lifecycle
Understand every status an order can have, from intake to delivery, and what each one means for your operation.
Order Lifecycle
An order follows a defined flow from intake to completion:
- Pending
- Confirmed
- Shipped
- In Transit
- Delivered
There are also two branches off that path: Cancelled (before dispatch) and Returned (after a delivery attempt).
What Each Status Means
- Pending: order received, waiting to be processed by the operation.
- Confirmed: order validated and ready to be sent to the warehouse. All information has been checked.
- Shipped: order dispatched by the warehouse; tracking code generated and available.
- In Transit: order with the carrier, on its way to the recipient.
- Delivered: delivery confirmed to the recipient. Cycle completed successfully.
- Cancelled: order cancelled before being sent to the warehouse.
- Returned: order returned after a delivery attempt or refused by the recipient.
Payment Status
Besides the delivery status, every order carries a payment status:
- Paid: payment confirmed
- Unpaid: awaiting confirmation
- Transferred: amount already transferred to your account (a tooltip shows the details on hover)
Status Badges
Each status has its own colour and badge for easy identification in the list. That makes it quick to spot orders that need attention.
