Setting up Webhooks
Configure webhooks to receive real-time notifications about events in your operation.
What Webhooks Are
Webhooks are HTTP callbacks that notify your system when events happen in N1. Example events: a new order received, a delivery status update, a stock change. Instead of polling, your system receives the notifications in real time.
Configuration Fields
When setting up a webhook you define:
- Webhook URL: the endpoint that will receive the events (must be reachable over HTTPS)
- Webhook Secret: secret key used to validate that requests are authentic. It can be generated automatically or set by you
- App Login URL: your application's login URL (optional)
- Welcome Email: toggle to send or skip the welcome email
- Active/Inactive: toggle to enable or disable the webhook
Test Connection
The Test Connection button sends a test event to your URL. Use it to confirm the endpoint responds correctly and that your system handles the expected payload.
Webhook Logs
The logs table shows the history of events sent:
- Date and time
- Status (success or failure)
- Order ID (where applicable)
- Server response
Use the logs to diagnose failures and confirm events are being delivered.
Always test the webhook connection after setting the URL, to be sure events are arriving correctly.
